Type Journal

The typography used on this flyer has a nice balance of straight serifs, harsh masculine edges and rounded terminals. The variation in line weight is quite dramatic which gives the type nice contrast. The use of these serifs and also the slight italic that has been utilised gives the flyer a fairly high end look. The type used for the small print is difficult to see in the photograph but it is a slightly squared sans serif with a high x height allowing the type to be legible at a smaller size, it is somewhere between a Roman typeface and a Block typeface.
