OUGD505 - The Shallows (2)

As the bleach didn't work as I had intended I decided to experiment using spray paint as I already had the stencil cut and ready to go. 

I attempted to make the paint drip from the bottom to convey the idea of the shallows. This again wasn't particularly successful. I decided to move on from the idea of the brain illustration. I had always been dubious of the idea as I thought it was a bit obvious and all of these complications dissuaded me from using it even further.

I was happy with the idea of using the keyboard as a title and felt it may be interesting to focus more on this idea. This will allow me to keep the graphics simple and the concept strong.

I decided that I may design the cover in landscape format as this will look more like a keyboard and it will make the cover design stand out. I want to experiment with debossing the keys into paper so that they can be felt in the same way that real keys can. I may use an identical size to a actual keyboard. I could also experiment with using HIPS to vacuum form the keys but this may be costly and time consuming.
