We looked at some recent redesigns for passports. Shown above is a page from the new Canadian Passport design and a couple of pages from the recent Norweigan passport redesign. The Norweigan passport design by Neue studio inspired us hugely. The use of illustration as background worked really well and we decided this is something we could utilise within the Airbnb passport. We considered using thermochromic ink, as both of these passport designs have but thought that this would be far too costly, especially as Airbnb would not be charging for these passports.
